I like how this perfume doesn't pretend to be something it isn't, it's not in a very grown up, fancy looking bottle, it's young, it's pretty and it's cute, what you see is what you get with this.
Honestly, at first spray, I wasn't sure about this perfume, it was a bit overwhelming and had a strong licorice note, I didn't like this as I'm not big on licorice notes in perfume.
So at first, I didn't smell much but licorice with a hint of burnt caramel, however, this dies down quickly and the licorice only seems to last about 10 minutes tops on me.
It then dries down quickly to a lovely quite soft vanilla/ candyfloss smell.
After an hour or 2 it's still going strong, but on me, it goes to a soft, almost pure vanilla smell with a hint of caramel, nothing too crazy, but still very sweet, this is how it stays until it fades (on me, it lasts for hours! maybe about 8)
Perfumes are of course different on everyone but with this perfume, for me at least, I'd say the Vanilla note is what is strongest, with the Candy Floss mixed in.
This has been compared to Britney Spears Fantasy and I do see that, however I think this has a better lasting power than Fantasy and this one is definitely more of a true Sweet/ vanilla fragrance, whereas I think Fantasy has a slightly more floral/ fruity feel.
I do think you would like this if you are a fan of Fantasy however!
What I would say with this perfume is give it a chance, if you see it in a store, spray a bit on, but then leave, walk around a bit and let it develop to see how it smells on you, it's different for everyone but once this fragrance settles down, I absolutely love it!
I think I can see this being my 'signature scent' - for a while at least! ;)
Good for: People who like sweet, vanilla-y scents, girly girls

This is actually one of my favorite everyday perfumes. I've been wearing it for years and get tons of compliments on it! My ex-boyfriend loved it and said that every time I passed by him, he got a whiff of cake :)
ReplyDeleteFor a more "adult" take, I wear Miss Dior Cherie eau de parfum; it's similar to this in its vanilla base, but just a bit more mature.
